Home Up

Waterhouse Gulch
Between Mountain Home and Bruneau
Hosted by "Die Hard" Candy, Mike, and Zach
and their trusty steeds Sissy and Jimmy

This ride was a little cold, wet, and breezy, but still a good ride. It definitely showed
who the diehard IMOers are! There was beautiful scenery and blooming wildflowers.

Friday was a beautiful day!

Patty and Stasia finding #1

Having a great time playing cards!

Saturday dawned very cold, wet, and windy! (actually the rain started around 5:30 AM)

Cold, wet ponies! (You can't really see how wet they really are)

Scotty was soaking wet and shaking when I got up. I am glad I store all of his blankets in the trailer!

Poor Scotty!

The rain stopped, but there were more storm clouds all around us.

Scotty - saddled then re blanketed to keep the saddle dry

Patty ponying Stasia's horse around - the weather had the horses really fresh

Landmark for #5... I don't think the momma hawk was too happy about it!

Patty is still ponying Stasia's horse - I don't think he ever calmed down enough for her to get on

Prince's Plume (Stanleya pinnata)

Indian Paintbrush (genus Castilleja)

Raina and Dually looking for #5

Lee and Christine looking for #5

Where is it?

Thanks for the picture Christine!

Lee found the marker and brushed the dirt and grass off of it. Raina took this picture.
Those two teams were the only ones who found it.

Heading to #4 - down into Waterhouse Gulch

Landmark flower with the Arrowleaf Balsamroot

New to me: Sand Verbena (Abronia elliptica)
